David Hoppen is a founding Partner at Cornerstone Financial Group, LLC. Dave, along with retired Partner Dale Engskov, established Cornerstone in 1996 as one of the area’s first fee-only registered investment advisors. Their goal was simple, but significant: to provide quality, unbiased financial advice that enabled people to be good stewards of what God had blessed them with. Prior to founding Cornerstone, Dave had a 6-year career in the NBA and attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln where he studied business.

At Cornerstone, Dave assists clients through his portfolio management and investment research. He is passionate about creating a unique, tailored solution to meet each client’s needs. Day-to-day, Dave spends his time working directly with Cornerstone’s clients and implementing portfolio solutions through research and trading.

Dave lives in Omaha with his wife, Sue. He enjoys spending time with his children, Dan and Faith, and his daughter-in-law Sarah. Dave is active in the community through his church, King of Kings. When not at work or with his family, Dave can be found at golf courses across the Midwest or cheering on the Huskers.
